Nintendo switch issues

Every time I try to connect my nintendo switch to my internet, I get a "this device is paused" alert. The cox support site is absolute cancer, and phone line is useless because my internet is so bad that the agents can't hear me, and I'm beyond frustrated because this terrible company is the only one in my area that provides internet. 

Does anyone know how to unpause a device that doesn't show up on your cox admin page at all?

I will be switching from this company the literal SECOND that Verizon FIOS gets installed.
