I'm having trouble connecting to a Security Monitoring system and VNC at my mother's house. I've set up the Port Forwards at her house, and I'm able to access them just fine from my phone when it is connected to the 3G service, so I know it works and I set it up just fine.
When I connect to my home's wifi, I'm unable to connect to these services.
I've looked through the Gateway's Webpage and my Cox Account and can't find anything that should be stopping the connection.I've looked at this page www.cox.com/.../internet-ports-blocked-or-restricted-by-cox.html and I'm not using those ports. Is there something else that accounts for my inability to connect?when I try a trace route to my mother's IP, I get a termination message:Tracing route to X.X.X.Xover a maximum of 30 hops: 1 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 10.0.7.1 2 10.0.7.1 reports: Destination protocol unreachable.Trace complete.
It's odd to have a DHCP pool of 10.0.x.x. What model router do you have? Also have you tried disabling Panoramic Wifi App Advanced Security? See link below on how.
Thanks - I have tried with the advanced security on and off, and have the same problem in both scenarios. I agree a 10.0.X.X is odd, but I didn't set it...
I can log into the router, but I can't see where a model number is listed.
I'm able to tracert to cnn.com just fine. I just can't tracert to my mom's IP, and it stops at the router.

Somewhere on the router there should be a model number or FCCID.

Can you share the first octet of your Mom's IP? Looking for a IP conflict of some kind.
Thanks for trying to help out...
I finally bit the bullet and hit the "reset gateway" button on cox router's page.
Now I can connect in - not sure what I did before such that the i had to restore factory settings - but now it works
Press "Restore Factory Settings" to activate your Gateway Default Settings. All your previous settings will be lost.
Update... about an hour later it's not working again... not sure what's going on. I did try rebooting the Cox router again, and then it works for a little bit, and then stops again. I've now disconnected all my devices from the Cox Router, except my main desktop, and I'm getting the same error... Where I can do a tracert that works, and then it stops working with the Cox Router " 2 192.168.4.1 reports: Destination protocol unreachable."
