I have the Panoramic modem/router. Cox told me to unplug it for 5-6 hours to get a new IP. Tried that a few times. Doesn't help. I think it worked when we were away for a month, but nothing short of that. I like to do this now and then. Was simple with previous internet service modem.
Thanks for the reply, Kevin. Yes, I understood that I have a dynamic IP "in theory." My IP hasn't changed since we got back Jan 3, at least.
And no, no issues. Long story short: I want to change my IP.

How did you do it with your old modem and what model device was it?
One thing you might try is using the bridge function of the modem/router to bridge to your PC for a different IP. That assumes the need of the IP address is temporary.
