I could not go to the website expect YouTube and Gmail. I went to 192.168.0.1 this website but I could not get into the gateway. It always shows that the password is incorrect for admin. What password should I use?
I'm curious what this 192.168.0.1 IP is exactly. My modem IP is 192.168.100.1 (owned by me) and my router IP is 192.168.86.1. I can't login to 192.168.0.1 with any default passwords. hmmm
192.168.0.1 is just the default web access IP for Cox gateways. You own your modem, and it's a stand alone (no router/wifi) which have different IP for web/diagnostic access.
192.168.100.1 is my modem, 192.168.168.86.1 is my router. What is 192.168.0.1? Is it also another IP to access my modem? If so why doesn't the password that I use to login via 100.1 work for it?
So this is a Cox gateway that's not actually physically at my address, but isn't blocking my IP from the login page?

Unless you changed it your router should be 192.168.0.1. What is your default gateway IP? Also what model modem and router do you have?
My modem is a Netgear CM1000. The default IP for it is 192.168.100.1 which is how I can login and manage it. The 192.168.86.1 IP is my wireless router. Sorry for the typo in the original post (obviously the IP isn't 192.168.168.86.1). I use Google WiFi (ya I don't know why they chose 192.168.86.x either as their default IP scheme either). The only other thing I can think of is this 192.168.0.1 IP would be the Guest Network for Google WiFi, however this is supposed to be segmented. I'm not home so I can't check what IP scheme the Guest Network uses and the Google WiFi App doesn't give you DHCP options for the Guest Network.
Edit: yes my default gateway is 192.168.86.1
Hence why I'm curious what this 192.168.0.1 device could be... but now that I think about it...it 'could' be my 8 port Cisco switch, although I think it's unmanaged.
What's interesting is that I can't ping 192.168.0.1 but I can view the web login prompt...
