It was working prior to yesterday when there was a partial outage in my area which is the Phoenix metro area. Please make it work again as it’s a royal pain in the butt to have to do it the long way by going to settings then device preferences then power then power down. It’s so much simpler to do it with the voice command. Please find a permanent fix for this so that it will always work!!! Update Just a update. It appears cox must have reverted to the previous update because now all the sudden the power down voice command is working again for me. Please Cox!! Whatever u do don’t change it again! Re: Power down by voice Me too! I’m wondering what happened to the voice commands to power down the set top as well. I think cox needs to undo whatever the last software update to the box was or get a fix so we can get our power down via voice commands back. At a later date u say? But it was working fine to power down via voice before your last update to our boxes! Now that is a bunch of garbage is if u ask me! I’m paying u guys a lot of money every month and here u go taking away our voice commands to power down ability. Please do something to fix this! Re: suggessstions for cox video engineers How could it not be. The contour 2 boxes i have are made by Cisco. Re: suggessstions for cox video engineers This is not true. The contour 2 box I have records even with it powered off. And no it does not need to be on for the client boxes to work. I have 2 other client boxes that work just fine that way. So I hate to say it but u are mistaken suggessstions for cox video engineers have some suggestions for the video engineers at cox: basically; i think you get to get in contact with the developers of the contour 2 system; and have them re-design the remote so that its like the previous version of contour i had the contour 1. I am tired of not having different device buttons and not having the ability to power off my set top box with the push of just 2 buttons. Also; they need to add the ability to specify a "power-on" channel like the older set-tops because amazingly; this contour 2 system does not have that option. and 3rd but not the last; u need to get the developer of the software for the guide for contour 2 to get a patch out or put a option in the settings menu that enables a person to sync the guide clock with the time on the set top so its always accurate because right now its not in sync with the guide on the contour 2 system. Re: contour clock I don’t believe I should have to go through all that just to get my message across. It’s not that hard. Just have a cox engineer or whoever is responsible for something like this take care of it once and for all. Re: contour clock Again I ask for you to contact the developer of the software for the contour boxes for the guide and get them to put out a patch to make it so the contour guide clock is in sync with the set top box clock as right now they are not contour clock Can you please contact whoever the developer is of the software for the contour 2 set top boxes for the guide and get them to come up with a way to sync the time in the upper right corner when in the guide to the clock on the set top; because as of now; the time shown on the guide is not in sync with the set top clock and i believe it should be as it would be a lot better if it was I think.
