Why is my DVR consistently having issues with recordings?

1 out of 5 recordings either won't playback or didn't record at all... I pay too much for this to be broken.  I think this is a software update issue - Cox, please stop deploying software updates until all the bugs have been worked out / tested - you are breaking things :-(

I am resetting my cable box, again.....  please advise if there is another solution available.

  • Hi SunnyinOC24. If you are constantly having issues with your recordings, the last resort is to exchange your cable box. I know that this is very frustrating and this may not be something you want to do. We have no way to stop the software updates and if something happens to the cable box, replacing it is the only recourse. Thanks, Lisa - Cox Support Forums Moderator
