This is also happening to me. While I do understand that I do not "own" the recordings, and for the most part I already own the Bluray of the movie, I like to keep them on the DVR so I can make playlists. I've not contacted Cox about this, but now that I see your issues, maybe I will. Wish I had an answer, but if I hear anything, I will let you know.
