Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, limited sports programming content was televised during the months of April, May, and June of 2020. Most regional sports networks are providing Cox with rebates for this limited programming.
As a courtesy, Cox is passing along a portion of these reimbursements as a one-time credit.

I noticed you wrote "portion" in your explanation. When a Sports Network charges Cox to transmit regional sports, does Cox pay a "portion" of this original charge or does Cox recoup 100% of this charge from their cable-TV subscribers?
As much as this charge spikes every year, I seriously doubt Cox would pay any portion; however, Cox will opportunistically take a portion of any rebate. Does Cox take an Admin Fee for having to process any rebate?
Why'd it take over a year to calculate your "share?"
