I find turning my TV (not the Contour box) off and back on resolves the problem. Samsung seems to have a real problem with this, Sony not so much.
I have a problem with my Samsung TV's audio falling out of sync, even with on board apps. A full power cycle by pulling the power cord out and waiting 10 seconds before reconnecting is needed. I didn't know it was a known problem. Any work arounds? I checked and there were no firmware updates available.

What mode is your TV processing audio? Since it only has two speakers, it should only be Stereo.

I just checked(Settings>Audio>Expert Settings) and it was outputting Dolby. I changed the input and output to PCM. Now I just have to wait the week or two it takes to happen. I thought it was the TV's memory/buffer becoming overloaded but maybe your onto something. Thanks!
PS. It's a UN43NU6900 if anyone cares.

Pick your poison. Dolby Digital is highly compressed audio data. PCM is not compressed. One requires decompressing and the other storage space. DD can support up to 5 channels. PCM can support up to 8.
If you're just listening through your TV speakers (stereo), I'd also check the settings on your streamer to ensure its only negotiating PCM stereo and not DD,
