An on-site tech or over-the-phone? If phone attempt, secondary is online. Have you rebooted or reset anything yet?
I talked to tech over the phone. The next time was online chat. Everything has been rebooted I think more than once.

I think its probably is sequential boot process. If secondary needs to communicate with primary, I'd unplug both...wait a few minutes...plug in primary and when primary is fully online...plug in secondary.

No luck. First screen says. A software update is in progress. Attempting to acquire current software. It never budges past 0%. Next screen says Give us a call. We’ve run into a problem here...

Before you move anything...
What started all this?
Why was a tech manually pushing an update to the secondary?
Did the secondary stop working beforehand?
What are the makes and models of the primary and secondary?
Would you suspect a faulty coaxial splitter (if applicable)?
