Cox is setting the copy-protect bit. It's done at their headend. Guess I'll be looking to cut the cord this year, because they've rendered my multi-room Tivo setup useless.

    Due to the evolving use of the Internet to view and transmit video programming, Cox must make network upgrades to ensure its programming remains secure. It may be necessary to contact the equipment provider for CableCARD-ready devices to upgrade your device.

      Yeah, I've heard this canned response before. You've set the copy-protect bit on everything that's not local. I'll be getting rid of your service as soon as I can.
