On demand episodes out of order

Why do so many channels/programs on demand list their episodes all out of order with multiple seasons/episodes jumbled together and sometimes there isn’t even an episode number listed so you have to Google the show for the number and name of the episode. Investigation Discovery is a prime example of this. Why can’t it be in chronological order?

Some networks repackage and redistribute previously broadcast episodes as "new".  Broadcast dates and episode numbers, or lack thereof, depend on how networks choose to categorize and release their content.

With that in mind, you can try sorting On Demand episodes by "Most Recent" for chronological order.

    • Access On Demand: Press the Contour button on your remote to access the main menu.
    • Navigate to On Demand: Use the arrow buttons to highlight the "On Demand" tab and press OK.
    • Select Category: Choose a category (like "TV", "Movies", "Kids") and press OK.
    • Choose a Show: Select a show and press OK.
    • Access Episode List: If the show has multiple episodes, the show title will be highlighted.  Press OK to take you to the episode list.
    • Sort Episodes: Within the episode list, use the up/down arrows to highlight "Sort", then press OK.
    • Choose Sort Order: Use up/down arrows to choose "Most Recent" or "A to Z" and press OK.
