Max Not Working

It looks like this is an ongoing issue as I found the same topic in a year old discussion - not resolved. 

I tried to access Max using the Contour box....  no go. I restarted the box.... no go

Since this is an ongoing issue and I pay WAY TOO MUCH for cable, I'm wondering if it will be fixed anytime soon?

    Same thing for me. But both Max and Apple plus both stopped at the same time.   I believe it has something with app sharing.  I had the message Do you want to share with Netflix.  Since then apple and Max cannot login.  Search on my name to find detailed description in another stream.   I am an ex Cox tech support person for 4 years so you can reach out to me

      I'm getting the "content not available" error message. I don't have Apple so I don't know about that. I can log in without problem though. 

  • Hello. I know how frustrating it can be to not be able to access apps through the Contour box. What error messages are you getting when you attempt to access Max?

      We noticed our MAX was not working on the 14th of August, 2024.  Same day we could not sign in to Apple+ and on the 16th Paramount+ would not show content.

      The Error Message for Apple+ is either "Something went wrong.  Try again Later" OR "Check your Internet Connection."

      The Error Message for Max and Paramount+ is "CONTENT NOT AVAILABLE...The Content you request is not available.  Please try again later."

       

      Here is the message I sent to Cox Help Email Address a few minutes ago and am waiting to see what the response/suggestion is:

      Issues:

      1. — Can’t sign into Apple+ on the Contour Box.  This started on 14 August 2024

      2. — Max and Paramount Plus open to their “home page” but selecting any show and we receive a message stating “Content can't be displayed”.  This started on 16 August 2024


      Netflix and Prime Video worked as of this email


      Actions taken to date include:

      — The Contour Box has been reset via the Contour Help Screen 4 times

      — The Contour Box has been unplugged for 30 seconds and plugged back in 7 times

      — The Locally Stored Data has been deleted 3 times

      — Cox Chat Staff have “reset and rebooted the boxes remotely” 1 time

      Any help in restoring the capability for us to stream 3rd party Apps on the Contour Box will be greatly appreciated

      NOTE — The Apps work on our NON-Cox computers, phones, and tablets so we know our passwords and accounts are current and good standing

        exact messages I'm getting from Max. I tried calling customer support over the weekend and got someone in a call center who told me it was a Max issue and I should call them. It wasn't. I've also been through the steps you have and also with no resolution.
