Thanks Becky!
I have not seen the error message since I re-seated all the cable connections last week, can you please let me know if you are still seeing errors?
I have seen some delays when I push a button on the remote. Sometimes it takes 10 or 20 seconds to respond. I don't think it's the remote, as I can see the green light on the box whenever I push a button. It's like when your computer is slow, you click something but nothing happens for a while.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi David,
I've see the delays when I press a button on the remote, but I haven't seen the error message. It doesn't happen with every button push, just some of the time.
I still don't understand why the box would need to communicate when I'm playing something stored locally on the DVR.
Thanks,

I was finally able to capture the error. I'm getting error RDK-03033. I Googled that and it seems I might need a MoCA filter. Is this something I can install myself? Seems pretty simple to me. There is a three way splitter where the drop comes into the house. One goes to the modem, one to a TV in the master, one to the DVR box in the family room. Just add the MoCA filter to the line that goes to the DVR.

I checked the splitter I have at POE. It says 5-1002MHz. That should block MoCA signals, right?
