Can you buy the Cox countour recievers/ cable boxes like you can for the router/ modem, or am I stuck paying $20 per month for my 2 boxes I'm currently renting fron Cox?

We do not sell any cable boxes/receivers, they must be rented from Cox. The main third-party option for something like this would be a TIVO, but would still need to rent cable cards from us in order to receive channels.

There is an important message here....one you have heard before. Cox needs to find ways to hold or lower costs..... The never ending price increases are killing your customer base.
