I thought I answered by stating that the diagnosis ruled out anything on my end. If it were on my end, it would happen to all shows on ABC, not just prime time shows, and it would happen on all other channels. As far as I can tell, this completely rules out anything on my end.
But to answer your questions:
The Contour box is connected to a home theater system with an HDMI cable, which connects to the TV with an HDMI cable. There are no audio specific cables involved, audio goes over HDMI.
I have also tried Becky's suggestion of PCM, but it didn't help, but I wouldn't expect to, the problem is clearly not on my end.

Hi Becky,
I connected the HDMI cable from the Contour box directly to the TV and it did not help.
Perhaps I'm not making myself clear on the problem. If I watch channel 4, audio is in sync. If I switch to channel 7, audio is out of sync. Next, switch to channel 2 and audio is in sync. Back to 7, it's out of sync. I can switch between 7 and any other channel, and the other channels are fine by 7 is out of sync.
I think this completely rules out anything about the equipment on my end. It has to be the signal.

Is the sync issue just with ABC HD or does it also affect ABC SD? It's odd your sync issue only affects 1 frequency on your cable band.
It may originate at your local affiliate. You could check their website for technical difficulties...although I'm sure they'd broadcast a "crawler" on your screen to inform you.
You may have an electronic device near your coaxial or cable box interfering.
If you're using a splitter, it may be faulty.
I'm just stabbing in the dark but it's odd only 1 frequency is out-of-sync..

Hi Bruce, How do I view ABC SD? Both channel 7 and 1007 are HD.
