If a customers does not return a cable-box to Cox, does Cox block its MAC address on the network?

doesn't matter they don't all customer owned cable boxes

    still a little confused... as I am happy to learn I can have more than 1 contour box in the house... but, if I picked up one from Amazon or ebay.. would it work or would (pardon the pun) cox block it?

    What would happen If I just plugged it in where the mini-box was originally at??

      @BatmanFanatik, Cox will be unable to provision any Contour receivers you purchase from a third-party retailer such as Amazon or Ebay. -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator
