Yahoo email sucks!

I wanted something with more privacy than a big dumpster. Yahoo wants to look at everything I either send or receive, they’re too **bleep** nosy. So if we don’t have cox email anymore, why aren’t we getting a discount for having to jump through stupid hoops?

You aren't getting a discount because email at Cox prior to the shift to Yahoo, was a FREE service provided with your internet. Since they didn't charge for it, when they shifted to Yahoo, your bill didn't go down.

OK so regardless of that how about the second part of my statement regarding censoring.  You must think that's ok.  Where are we USA or Russia.  I must say that I have been a customer of Cox for a VERY long time but I am on the verge of cancelling all my services, not that I think you would care.

I understand your frustration, ultimately it's a free service.  If it doesn't meet your needs you're free to use something else.  Most Internet service providers these days understand that between Yahoo, Microsoft, Google, and Apple, they've more or less figured out email to the point that it just doesn't make sense to provide it themselves anymore.

we don't get a discount because it's all about the money.  As far as Yahoo is concerned they censor if they don't want you to see certain email you don't. Not into spam not into trash it just disappears never to be seen.  There is no way to fix it.

Hello, I am very sorry you’ve not had the best experience with Cox. I understand how important communication and reliable service is. We value your business, and I would be happy to help. Please email us your “full” name, “complete” address, and a copy of your post to Cox.Help@cox.com for further assistance. Thank you!

  • Hi, Steve, I understand your concern and I do apologize for the difficulty with email. As it was an ancillary product, we've never charged anything for email. With regards to SPAM and SPAM settings,  there are still free filtering options in Yahoo mail. SETTINGS, then MORE SETTINGS. To the left, you have two options: "Security and Privacy" and "Filters". You can use keywords to block SPAM, as well as blocking email addresses and domains. I hope this helps.
