If you are careful with what you post, there should be no reason to delete OP. I think you can ask a moderator to remove it though if it really bugs you. Try flagging the post for spam/abuse and send them a email.
I personally think it shouldn't be easy to delete a entire post with other people comments on it. IMO it is unfair to the people who posted.

Contact them through one of the methods found here. I prefer the email cox.help@cox.com but some say Twitter is faster.
Isn't there any way to email or message an individual moderator?
No. You can mention a moderator by using the "@" symbol and then the username but they don't have unique emails. They probably do that for organization reasons and so individual reps don't get spammed. Why do you want to message a specific moderator?
