Verification code not turning off

I have been trying to turn off this verification code to get into my email I should not have to go look for my wife's phone to look at emails.  I went into accounts and there is no button to shut the...

The link JonathanJ provided will work if it's copied and pasted into a browser and the trailing period is removed.  That documentation webpage indicates there's a "Turn off" button.  Has anyone tried it?
