Unable to change WIFI channel

I used to have to go to the 192.168.0.1 address to change my wifi settings.  Now I need to use an app to do it but it doesn't have that functionality, at least that I could find. How does one change 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi channels now?  Or is that just not allowed anymore?
