thunderbird incoming email doesn't work

I've reset all the settings as directed in your emails and instructions sent. 

I can send email out. But nothing will come in.  I've tried all kinds of changes to the settings.  Nothing works.

I'm frustrated beyond belief and fear that  i am missing notices from my bank.

    Are you using IMAP or POP? Please send a screenshot of your settings to cox.help@cox.com.
