Terrible service

We’ve been without internet and cable for 24 hours. Several of my neighbors (also Cox customers) have been without internet for 24 hours. The earliest a technician can come to our home is 2 days from now. I’ve tried to report an outage, spoken with customer service online and chat & I keep being told it’s my equipment and that there are no outages in my area. I also keep being told to reset/unplug my modem. Why are outages not detected??
