Slow Download Speeds

I have Essential Internet 30 Mbps Service but have been experiencing  11 Mbps or less. I have a combo modem/router and use wireless for cell phone, computer and a streaming service for TV, although not simultaneously.  Why are the  download speeds significantly different ??

  • Hi BOBinNV, your speed test results can be impacted by the speed capabilities of the device you are using and whether you are testing via WiFi or a hardwired connection. Connect a device directly to your modem/router with an ethernet cord, reset your modem/router, and then log into cox.com and follow the steps at bit.ly/HowToRunCoxSpdTest.
