Shady sales Practices.

Why does Cox (in Nevada) sell an upgrade to Gigabit download speeds when that service is not yet available in my area (Las Vegas suburb)? I sign up for Gigabit service and was told by a Technical Support rep that the 940GB speed service probably won't be in my area for a year, perhaps two.

    They may promote it but it doesn't mean it's available in your area. They have promoted it since it came out whether it's available in your area or not. You need to use their tool so search for your residence to see if it's available. At first it wasn't available in my area then it became available at some point.
