Severe Packet Loss Every Single Night - Lincoln Rhode Island

Cox Support - Please Help!

This has been going on for weeks now. Apparently there is a ticket open but I can never get a ticket number for some local node work, but its been weeks now with no resolution or ETA. We have been cox customers for 20 years and would hate to switch but this is effecting my ability to work at night. Its roughly 13% packet loss when all is said and done.

We have also had a tech out to rewire the coax, replace the modem with a docsys 3.1 modem, and this has only made things worse since now our phone goes out when the internet goes out.

What can I do to fix this packet loss? Is this really a construction issue that has gone on for weeks and weeks? When will I be able to get an ETA? Can they not start this work until AFTER people go to bed if this is what this really is?

Hello, packet loss can be quite aggravating to deal with, and we're sorry you have to experience these ongoing issues. 20 years of loyalty to the Cox family is a long time, and we don't want to lose you as a customer. Can you please email us at cox.help@cox.com, so we can take a look at the ticket, along with your equipment levels? -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator
