Using my yahoo migrated cox email with Mac OS is a disaster

Cox sending us to yahoo was the worst thing ever!  Yahoo mail does not work well with Mac Mail.  I have had to reset my account 100's of times.  Once I think I have it working again it stops working.  I constatantly cannot send outgoing messages.  I have tried every opltion listed to try and fix it to no avail. I'm very very close to leaving cox for good.

Emails won’t delete on every device even though it’s IMAP. Can’t send out emails keep getting password errors even though I set it up correctly and can receive. I manually have gone in to check server settings and they are correct. Yahoo is also playing havoc with unable to delete email errors which lock up mail. It only happens with yahoo

Hello. I appreciate you providing the additional information. Do you have any issues accessing, reading, deleting, and/or sending emails while on the Yahoo website?

There is a bug in macmail, which is why I actually use outlook for mac on my macbook. That bug has existed for a LONG time, and when I worked at Cox, i used to have a word file I gave out, teaching others how to work around the bug in macmail. It's not an issue with yahoomail, because it works perfect on my mac using Outlook.

So frustrating.  I've bee a Mac guy for most of my life.  Really didn't want to have to buy another program to view mail.  Thanks for your response

You can use Sparkmail on your mac, iphone and ipad, it's free, and does a good job. I have friends at both Apple and Microsoft, and was able to land a copy of outlook at a very low cost, and since I use it on my windoze computer, I was already familiar with it. Sparkmail works well, and it's free. I used to beta for apple, and I have been an apple user since the apple 2E
