Yes they are declared outrage, yes I lose service. I had our modem/router checked by one of your service people (both are fine) because we aren’t getting the speeds you say we should.
I don't work for Cox. I am just a user like you. What reason/excuse did the tech give?
They don’t give reasons! This is what I don’t understand, the “why”.
damjinx54 I was able to locate your account using your forums credentials and can see the documented recent outages. It's no wonder you're upset. I would be too. I know how important it is to get the best value for your dollar these days and to be reliably connected to the things you care about, but please know I don't have any additional information regarding outages. The outage details presented to agents is the same information presented to customers when you sign into the Cox app. I can understand wanting to know why, but we typically just don't have any details available.
We have a great community here that is ever helpful but there are some topics that fall outside of the scope of our forums. The Cox community forums goal is to allow customers to discuss technical topics related to residential Cox services with other customers and we encourage our users to assist each other where possible via this avenue. Billing, account and some service issues require the sharing of sensitive information to resolve which isn't best suited for a public forum. If you have any concerns specifically relating to your account we ask that you reach out to us outside of forums so we can address any problems.

Did you ask them why? Did they say "I don't know?"
Either way, nothing anyone here can do to stop/fix outages. I don't even think a moderator will even be able to see why outages are happening. Your best bet for that is to find one of the techs working in the field and ask them. You can sometimes find them pulled over waiting for instructions, which would be the best time to ask. I know a lot of outages these days are caused by copper thieves literally ripping the coax off the pole. They are so dumb they even steal fiber, which has very little resale value.
You can also try Facebook or Next Door to see if anyone in your area has learned something. Good luck.
