Are they declared outages or just times you lose service? Do others lose service around you? If not, what model modem/router do you have and does the light(s) change on it?

Yes they are declared outrage, yes I lose service. I had our modem/router checked by one of your service people (both are fine) because we aren’t getting the speeds you say we should.
I don't work for Cox. I am just a user like you. What reason/excuse did the tech give?

damjinx54 I was able to locate your account using your forums credentials and can see the documented recent outages. It's no wonder you're upset. I would be too. I know how important it is to get the best value for your dollar these days and to be reliably connected to the things you care about, but please know I don't have any additional information regarding outages. The outage details presented to agents is the same information presented to customers when you sign into the Cox app. I can understand wanting to know why, but we typically just don't have any details available.
We have a great community here that is ever helpful but there are some topics that fall outside of the scope of our forums. The Cox community forums goal is to allow customers to discuss technical topics related to residential Cox services with other customers and we encourage our users to assist each other where possible via this avenue. Billing, account and some service issues require the sharing of sensitive information to resolve which isn't best suited for a public forum. If you have any concerns specifically relating to your account we ask that you reach out to us outside of forums so we can address any problems.
My offer to further assist you will remain open through the options I shared in my last reply. I apologize for the inconvenience that outages have imposed upon your family and for the fact that we do not have an auto-credit system in place. Repairs and maintenance are performed on an as-needed basis. The Social Media Support Team is available around the clock, 7 days a week.
What can a moderator do about outages other then give credit? Can you see open maintenance tickets(ESR) in the area?
