roku express no internet

I set up a roku express in a bedroom and worked fine. I remembered to assign it to a person in house so that it could be shut off at certain time. Today it would not connect to the internet at all, it connected to the router but had no internet. Finally I unassigned it from that person and it works internet and all. Only problem is now I would have to manually turn it off every night. I dont feel like doing that as that is what I was using the cox wifi app for, to automatically turn off internet on certain devices at certain times.

Any help would be appreciated.'
