Returned Payment Fee (COX This Is NOT a Personal Billing Issue)
Cox Admins et. al,
This is NOT a personal billing issue that needs to be addressed. This is a billing procedural issue with YOUR billing system so please do not lock this thread.
Below you will find three links to others who have had the SAME issue.

My situation:
1. I had made the payment which had posted.
2. The payment (according to Cox) was declined.
3. I had NO other issues with my credit card which I used the same day before and after.
4. Cox retried billing my credit card (according to them) and the payment was successful.
5. The payment posted to my credit card (there is usually a 2 - 3 day lag time before it posts but it did appear as a pending charge.
6. I received a letter from Cox saying the payment was declined and payment +$25 was due.
7. I had to call Cox and they removed it right away (as they should since it wasn't an e-check.)
8. The rep claimed that Cox attempts to charge 3x the amount that you are attempting to pay. Bear in mind that $70 x 3 = $210 when I had well over $1500 in available credit so that did not explain the decline in payment.
Cox, trying to access the billing information on where this policy is defined needs to be provided. So far this is NOT in https://www.cox.com/aboutus/policies/billing-and-payment-policies.html
Again this is a Cox wide issue and is not a private billing issue that needs to be addressed.
