Forum Discussion
The purpose of the Cox Internet Forum is to allow customers to discuss technical topics related to residential Cox Cable, Telephone, and High-Speed Internet services with other customers. This appears as if you may need someone to look into your account personally. We would definitely be able to assist you with this. Please reach us on Twitter at @CoxHelp, visit us on Facebook, or email us at cox.help@cox.com. Provide us the name on the account with the complete service address with a link to this thread so we can get started.

With all due respect Crystal, this IS a big issue with Cox that affects other accounts in addition to mine. When 2 large companies like Cox and Siteground are having issues that can't be resolved then I believe a forum is EXACTLY where I want to turn to for answers. I was simply doing a google search for this issue and found this forum. I responded to it so that maybe I can get some answers. I have been working with Cox diligently for almost 2 months now (an hour again on chat with them yesterday) and I have gotten nowhere. I have unresolved tickets with Cox so there is no need to reach out to them again. I am desperate for a resolution so please try to be understanding of my situation. If there is a chance that someone else out there has had this same exact issue and was able to resolve it then I would welcome the information.

To resolve the error message you're receiving you'll need to contact the technical support for your mail server so they can make the necessary adjustments. Once the remote server is compliant with our email guidelines the error should stop.

I have been in contact with my host, again for over a month. Nobody seems to be able to resolve this. Is there a specific doc w/ said guidelines?
- ChrisL4 years agoFormer ModeratorIf you're on a shared hosting provider resource you may have little recourse to address this issue. What commonly happens in such a circumstance is you have other customers on the same resource also using email which may be opening connections to our mail server. Other email/spam problems are common on shared hosting resources such as if another customer on the same server is flagged for spamming the server gets flagged which means nobody using the same server would be able to send again until the cooling off period has expired. If email is mission critical to whatever application your running on your host the best options may be to explore some kind of dedicated or virtual hosting solutions where you have exclusive use of said resource.
