Poor upload speeds to most if not all servers.

Here recently I have attempted to fix an issue regarding streaming to Twitch and problems with my upload speeds.

I have gigablast and have amazing download speeds, but when it comes to my upload speeds I suffer tremendously. Having a tech come out tomorrow for the second time to take a look at my lines just to make sure but last time everything was perfect.

I don't know what information to give here so I'm going to just go ahead and list off a bunch of different things in hopes maybe someone knows what's going on.

I'm running the modem provided XB6t

On another note they told me this modem supports gigablast but the thing is getting super hot and my speeds are jumping all over the place. On top of that I'm reading a lot about how it's not suppose to be for anything of these speeds?

  • Hi CodeBugd, I ran several tests to your modem. Not only are several of the modem metrics outside of our preferred specifications, but the modem is also reporting packet loss. This is undoubtedly impacting your upload speeds, so I'm glad that you have a service call scheduled. I've updated the work order notes so the technician will be aware of these issues. After the service call, please run the Cox Speed Test again and let us know if you see an improvement in your upload speeds. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
