I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this issue isn't resolved. While it does appear to be much improved (my streaming apps are no longer stopping/buffering or erring out entirely), I am still losing my HD quality and the picture keeps going blurry (480p quality). I haven't tried watching Netflix yet, but DirecTV NOW, CNBC, and Amazon Prime are all exhibiting the same symptoms. Netflix will likely do the same. Fast.com (a Netflix site) is reporting 120Mbps (lower than usual), but it takes longer than usual to get there, and stays at 770Kbps, 1.3Mbps, 3Mbps before eventually climbing to decent speeds. Running it again and again, the results are widely inconsistent: 190, 120, 240, 73, 9.2, 110, 320). During the day when I am not having issues, it's ALWAYS ABOVE 250-350Mbps, every...single...time. Right now, my streams are HD for a bit, SD for a bit, back and forth. The image gets very pixelated/distorted at times, as in not even enough bandwidth for 480p. I feel bad for everyone that has to stay on Cox. Counting the days till my Google Fiber is lit.
