BrianM. It['s been two days since you replied...it's been a couple of weeks since I've had this problem 24/7. Are they really doing ANYTHING?
Hi Lbrodahl, the issues regarding the Cox email server have been resolved. At this time, we recommend you change your Cox password on the website and also making sure it matches the password in your client settings, bit.ly/2KOrZnd. Please also ensure the server settings are correct; here is a list of the server settings, bit.ly/2KGsVKh. Lastly, versions TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2, and TLS 1.3 are compatible with Cox Email. I have several email accounts though, and the problem only occurs on ONE of them. How will changing a password help that? And if my account has worked just fine for the last 10 years, why would the server settings be bad? (and I have checked them..they match the email account that IS WORKING.) As a matter of fact, the definitions/settings on both accounts match, except name of course.
So I fail to see how ANY of this could possibly work. And I really fail to understand what COX changed this time to make anything work. What was the original problem. Any idea on this?
