Is there an outage in this area?
Internet suddenly went out and has been that way for about half an hour in Portsmouth VA around Fairview Heights. Already tried resetting both router and modem.

Not showing any outage in the area if the modem online light is off, try unplugging the power cord and unscrewing all ends of the coax cable for 2 minutes.

Cox ModeratorTried that to no avail last night, it didn't come back on for a few hours. It went out again temporarily earlier today and came back on around 1 PM. Either way, things seem to be fine again now.
