I want to hook up my cox pc to a cox laptop 12 miles away. What equipment do i need to buy? I have yet to buy a laptop. How much $ does cox want? I have a cox tv at my laptop place.

You would need to set up a remote access program. There are several programs available. Remote access isn't something that we support but you can find lots of information regarding "remote access" online.
