Internet

I have been a customer with Cox for over 20 years with no breaks. I am now about to find alternative internet options. It seems that just about every night I have an outage. It also seems that it inevitably is during a live sporting event.  One more outage this month and I am out.

Is anybody else tired of seeing first-time posters threaten to leave if whatever there problem is happens one more time?  Almost invariably, some other yahoo will "Like" it.  Just once I'd like to see a moderator say "Sorry to see you go.  Goodbye".  Moderators are always polite though, so that will never happen.  But I'd give a thumbs up if it did.

I'm not, I am tired of seeing white knights shill for a lowsy ISP monopoly that doesn't value their customers because they have no obligation to when they are the only game in town.

I believe we have yahoo sighting.  This is a user forum.  If peope want to threaten to leave, they can leave.  Cox may care, but I don't.

This was supposed to go to Cox.  So should all comments on this forum be positive and uplifting snowflake?  Cox service has been atrocious recently and they should be made aware.  Go back under your rock.

If you provide pertinent information, contributors in this forum will try to help you.  If you just want to vent, contact cox.help@cox.com

Venting in a user forum is like a drunk cowboy in an old-time western facing an angry crowd in front of the jail and yelling "Get a rope!"  You're trying to stir an impassioned reaction from like-minded individuals who will claim anyone who doesn't support their position is defending Cox.  I don't defend Cox and I don't support 'drunk cowboys'.

Threatening to leave in a user forum is like a little kid on a playground saying he's going to "take my ball and go home" if things don't go his way.  Go ahead.  I doubt anyone actually believes you'll leave, but no one will care if you do.  Since you're still here, you must not have had any more outages.  But there are two weeks left in the month so there's still time.

Curt must work for Cox. Who defends terrible service? Obviously he spends too much time on the Cox forum, which is weird and a little sad.

Maybe he, like the rest of us, are tired of ranters who don't want to troubleshoot. Do you think anyone here cares if you leave Cox?

And you're absolutely right, most of us don't want to troubleshoot. We want our internet to work.

You're having Internet outages, but you don't want to troubeshoot the problem.  What are we supposed to do about it?  This is a user forum.  Either contact cox.help@cox,com or move  from the bridge you're living under to one with better Internet service.

Would love to hear alternatives.  I have had constant disconnects with internet and cable and 3 techs.  My company even sent me a new laptop.  Very difficult to work when you freeze and are constantly reconnecting a VPN!
