Internet Service in the woods

Help! My wife and I bought a house in the woods and the only internet that we could get was Hughes net and it's super slow and the signal constantly gets disconnected not to mention their exorbitant price and unreliable service. There's a small subdivision about half a mile away and they have COX to the best of our knowledge. My wife is an online professor for a major university and needs high speed internet to be able to teach her classes. Please let us know if you can help. Thanks.

      Yes, I know, but it beats having deed restrictions and HOAs telling you what to do. I see this as a temporary problem. I bet that COX will help us.
