Incredibly slow upload speed/packet loss

For the past couple months, me and my roommates have been experiencing outages daily (2-4 times a day usually). We typically just reset our modem and moved on with our day, but this past month our internet service has gotten considerably poor. We have the preferred 150 plan and while our download speeds have been solid, upload speeds rarely even break 1 mb/s during speedtests. I do alot of gaming on this network and it has reached a point of unusability. I've done plenty of research on the forums for a solution but i cannot seem to find one that solves my problem. Sadly, my experience with cox representatives has left me feeling like they dont understand the problem either. Has anyone dealt with this issue and found a concrete solution?
