I am being spammed by Barefruit Ltd, or is it Cox?
A few days ago I was flooded with spam generated by listservers in Nebraska University and University of New Mexico, as many as 300 spams in a single day. Investigating further, I discovered that subscribe commands to these two listservers were emanating from Barefruit Ltd. in London UK. It was further learned that Barefruit Ltd. works for Cox. Why would Cox do such a thing to a long term customer?
It was also learned that Cox offers an opt-out from this so called service. also known in the trades as "DNS hijacking". https://www.cox.com/residential/support/opting-out-of-enhanced-error-results.html
Through the years I have championed Cox. No more. This experience was too upsetting and it is likely to plague my email for years to come.
