Forum Discussion
It's common for forum users, especially new ones, to use incorrect terminology. This OP said she had unsubscribed 3 times. What she had actually done was try to save the settings that don't work. Telling her to leave the Internet group would have been a quick fix, not the real solution. Someone else with the same issue could read this thread and think that's the only answer. If you're going to tell users to leave the group, you should also tell them the website has a couple of ways to prevent unwanted notifications that don't require them to do that. You can just refer them to this:

This OP isn't new...has been a member for five years...has accumulated 42 points...and rebuilds computers. Is the OP only "incorrect" because you want to show her your checklist?
not the real solution.
Who defines the "real solution" to stop the spam, you? OP wants to stop the spam.

If the someone else had also "unsubscribed 3 times," it would be the only answer.
I'm not going to interview an OP on how they unsubscribed just to retain their whether used or unused option to upload pictures. I'm also not going to assume everyone is an idiot except you. If an OP unsubscribed three times and is still getting spammed, leave the group. If you want to mosey in later to show everybody your checklists, please do so.

This OP hadn't actually unsubscribed 3 times. What about that do you not understand?

I have unsubscribed 3 times
The OP's initial post was "I have unsubscribed 3 times." Four minutes later, I read, "I have unsubscribed 3 times." OP also took action on multiple pages in the Settings because after "unchecked all notifications," "nothing works." Again, this was four minutes after the OP had posted. Why would I need to read into this?
Sixteen hours later, OP wrote about not unsubscribing via the Subscriptions tab.
Again, I am not going to interview an OP on how they had actually unsubscribed. OP wanted to stop the spam and leaving the group would be the correct action after unsubscribing didn't work.
Again, if you want to inform the OP about uploading pictures, chime in and do so. Your only actual motivation to be involved is to post links to your checklists. However, nobody is asking about uploading pictures. OP has probably never uploaded pictures. OP probably will never upload pictures.
For those somebody elses with a question about uploading pictures, join and upload. For those somebody elses with a question about being spammed after joining to upload pictures, okay, how did you unsubscribe?

That would be true IF she had actually unsubscribed and it didn't work. But that isn't what she had done when she initially posted.
To demo, I subscribed to notifications in the Phone forum and posted a screen shot of what the Subscriptions tab in Settings looks like. I then posted another screeshot of what it looks like after I unsubscribed. I was online when OP posted the following:
OP couldn't have unsubscribed when she initially posted because she only figured out how to do it after viewing my screen shots. I told you all of this a bazillion posts back.
