How come Email is slow when support is aware?

Has anyone gained quick access to cox mail after reporting the issue??  There is nothing new about the problem.  Maybe the security butts heads with Apple encryption.  Have reported this several times over the years.  The most I got out of it was to dump cookies or to live with it.

What seemed strange was having to start the question as though this (slow, slow, slow opening email all the time every time) hasn't been going on for a long, long time.  I've been with the company a few decades although there are notes on customers conversations.  When a problem is never solved, customer service will not refer to known issues and, filibuster or make me describe the slowness from the beginning.......No, it's just the email with Cox, the other pages open just fine, how long, what's your address, and the rest of it.  By the number of times the slow loading time from Cox is mentioned, which doesn't represent more patient clients and telephone or chat issues.......I should get the message that Cox mail is a take it or leave it proposition.

In Cox's defense, the Forum page open right up like normal pages.  So I feel this is really related to security (I've had surveys pop up saying they were with Cox) which the company took an interest in or feigned it very well.  For spam, I was told to send these messages one by one to Cox security.  I'd rather the spam folder be regarded as unwanted mail.  If found to be moved to spam or junk folder two or more times, and/or to have blocked the address......I still see those addresses at inbox or get a message saying I've blocked the address before.  So I still get tons of junk, spam whatever it's referred as.

I've moved away from the original issue which is OK.  I doubt there will be any change in loading the mail page the other times I've brought it up to Cox support.

Thanks for Reading,

Nathan

  • Hi Patagonia, our email administrators are still investigating why Webmail loads slowly for some customers and not others. This shouldn't be something you have to live with! My Webmail Inbox was terribly slow to load immediately after my account was migrated to the new Cox Email platform, but it has improved a great deal since then. We need a few pieces of information to escalate this on your behalf. What URL do you use to access Webmail? (Ex: Cox.com, myemail.cox.net, webmail.cox.net, etc.) Where does the slowness occur? Do you see three dots and a spinning cursor icon? Does the Inbox shell appear while the Inbox content is slow to load? Please email cox.help@cox.com with the answers to these questions, along with your full name, address, phone number, and a link to this thread. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

Becky,  Nice  of you  to reply with multiple choice answers that describe the amount of time for any actions to take  place without cutting out four just enough time to start fidgeting for something else to do.  How I got the name Patagonia, I don't know, but that's fine.  You've described very well what happens with my account.  Not just loading the page, which I limited my question to, but the dots that appear with any action to move between folders.  I see enough questions here to feel the issue is with Cox and that the slowness on the Cox page is  prevalent among users.  I''ve tried support so I think I'll forgo the steps to take help.  I've also spoken with those who have a more normal experience with the ISP, so it's good  to know your already familiar with the issue, even if sorted out.  That has not been my experience.

Very kind of you to offer, though.
