Gigabit Internet Service
Why does the Cox webpage allow me to sign up for gigabit service when it's not available in my area? I wasted a half day last week because I signed up for service online. I was advised to call customer service to complete my setup. The rep there told me the only thing lacking was a Docsis 3.1 modem. I was advised to purchase a new modem which I did by going to a local brick and mortar store. When I got home I called tech support to "complete my upgrade to gigablast". The agent at that number advised me that after several attempts to upgrade that he was unable to do so. He put me on hold for a few minutes then came back on the phone and told me there was no gigablast at my address!?!?! I then had to return the new modem to the store. This wasted literally half of my day. WHY would you allow someone to sign up for service that's not available??? I even got a mailer prior to that advertising gigablast in my area.
