Hi ColleenD, Thanks for the quick response, I just sent an email to that address about 10 minutes ago with the details from my logs as well as my contact info. Feel free to call me directly on that phone number to troubleshoot. Thank You!

What was the resolution? I have a Netgear C7800 and just started having this same exact problem about 3 or 4 weeks ago. It's driving me mad.. My household has numerous wifi connected devices and 3 of the 4 cat5 ports are in use, but only ONE single device is continually being dropped with the Profile Change error in the logs. I've tried it in different ports and get the same results.

I was contacted by support (after they received my email) and a tech came out. He tested everything but couldn't find any issues with the signal. In fact, his tests from the drop showed that I'm actually getting good enough signal for 2GB throughput now that they've upgraded the network in my area. So, (having the wiring protection plan) he decided to replace the coax run from the drop to the modem as it was at least 7 years old. In that signal chain were 2 different couplers that he also removed/replaced. After he left, the specific "US profile assignment" error discontinued. However, the modem kept dropping the modem connected interface and reapplying the public IP. At that point I decided it was time for a new modem (even though the old one was only 5 years old.) I got the latest surfboard s33 that supports 2.5gbps and everything has been perfect ever since.
