Frequent Disconnections?

My household recently upgraded to Gigablast because everyone uses the internet. Over the past month of use, we've noticed a frequency of disconnections every few minutes or so, something that never happened with our old, albeit slower, internet. I noticed that some people have experienced the same thing, but with different time occurrences. What exactly is going on there? Is it really on Cox's end? Is it my modem? I never got a clear answer from the customer support so I figured I'd ask here. If it helps at all, I'm connected through ethernet and the speeds are fine, but I get connected way too much in a day that it affects both work and leisure. Any information would help.

if you're not using the cox panoramic combo unit, it may be a problem with your equipment.

I am having the same issues. We have the newer netgear modems/router. Internet drops in and out probably 100 times in a day. It’s ridiculous.

omg we have the internet below gigablast and our speed is fine we get like a download speed of  750-900 mbps and upload of 35mbps and we intermittently get kicked off of our internet too like every 10 minutes for a 30-60 seconds as well.. and it happens on all of our devices. phone, xbox, ipads, computers.. it started happening when they installed coxwifi hotspots all over our area. we just got a new model of the panoramic gateway, had two technicians come out in the last month, but they could only check the wiring outside and he said it looked good.

We’re having the same problems. Internet drops every 10 min or so. We have a new Netgear Cm1000 and Google Nest Mesh. All worked fine until about 3 weeks ago. We’ve reset our modem multiple times, checked all connections, rebooted all connections and devices. Nothing seems to work. We can’t retain a reliable connection to work from home and using a Verizon data hotspot is racking up the bills.

I am in Chandler and the last 7 days have been a real pain. Internet goes up and down, usually during the day when I am working. Modem and router are new, firmware is updated, factory reset done, all cable connections are finger tight. I have a tech coming out this afternoon to check the outside connections. Hopefully this will get addressed by Cox.

I am also in Chandler (Ocitillo) and  have noticed it also including evenings using XBox.
I even setup an extra wifi router to test via one of the Gateway LAN ports and it was definitely the internet connection and not wifi from the Cox Gateway (25yr IT engineer)
Let us know if they find anything
