With the Incoming IMAP setting at 993/SSL/TLS in Outlook 2016, when Outlook attempts to send a test message, this error message appears under the Test Account Settings window...Log onto incoming mail server (IMAP): A secure connection to the server cannot be established.
When I hit “Send/Receive All Folders” in Outlook, the following error message is received:
Outlook Send/Receive Progress…Task’jxxxxx@cox.net: Folder:Inbox Check for new mail.” Reported error (0x800CCC0E) : ‘Outlook cannot download folder inbox from the IMAP email server for account jxxxxx@cox.net. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or internet service provider (ISP).’
