Does the email spam filter "learn"???

I seem to get spam from the same sources day after day after day. I dutifully send to the spam folder (which I empty daily). Is there a minimum time for the messages to remain in the spam folder for ...

    Since I get 8 - 10 of these a day, can I forward all of the files in 1 email, or use separate? Thanks

        Well, I sent as attachments for 1 week. Many of the same still appear, some multiple times. I give up - I'll just delete...
