Does cox force ipv6 on my router?

I am trying to setup a Ring home alarm system.

I have a Arris SB6183 router.

Ring is telling me that cox appears to be forcing IPv6 which is causing the alarm system not to be able to connect to Ring's servers. 

Is this something that can be changed on my account?

    ugh, for anyone else in this situation. Got off the phone with Cox tech support.

    Cox forces ipv6 and doesn't have an option to use ipv4 for modems connected to their service.

    So basically, Ring is not compatible with Cox at this time 😞
