What indicates they fixed it? I thought the Cox Data Usage Meter is infallible.

checked my "usage by modem" today and its now showing half of what it was last night. And it now matches what is shown on the current daily chart.
- KevinM26 years agoFormer ModeratorHi Fretm, here is some information on how our data usage system works, http://bit.ly/2KFZ0St. If you have Netflix, Netflix estimates that each hour of standard definition video streaming uses about 1 GB of data, and up to 3 GB per hour for HD video. Streaming Ultra HD content can use up to 7 GB of data per hour. In addition, please ensure that all devices in your home are virus and malware-free. Viruses and malware can increase data usage without your knowledge. Cox offers McAfee free, for up to five devices, http://bit.ly/2VbZEff. -Kevin

In a perfect world, the estimates of 1, 3 and 7 GB seem acceptable. However, in the real world, the estimates overlook re-transmissions (more data) due to packet loss on the Cox network.
Does Cox estimate a percentage of data loss per hour of streaming?
